Lee County Solid Waste Convenience Centers and the Lee County Transfer Station will be closed on the following holidays:

 

New Years Day

Presidents Day

Independence Day

Columbus Day

Thanksgiving Day

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Memorial Day

Labor Day

Veterans Day

Christmas Day

 

Signs will be placed at all convenience centers as a reminder of observed holidays.  Do not place or throw garbage or other waste items around or over gates when the centers are closed.  Items left at, or thrown over the gates, are considered littering and violators will be prosecuted.


All constructions materials, tires, and brush are to be brought to the Lee County Transfer Station in Jonesville.


Also, anyone caught scavenging at the waste collection sites will be prosecuted.

 

PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIRED FOR ANY CONTRACTOR

BRINGING EXCESS OF 20 TONS PER DAY.



The Lee County Solid Waste Department is responsible for the collection, handling and disposal of solid waste generated in Lee County. The Solid Waste Department operates a centralized Transfer Station near Jonesville. No waste is disposed of on site as all Lee County waste is now transported to the City of Bristol Solid Waste Management Facility.


All waste brought into the Transfer Station, other than bagged household garbage and metal, will be billed to the customer or contractor.

 

Fees:

Solid Waste: $59.39 per ton

Tires: $60.00 per ton

Brush: No Cost

The Transfer Station DOES NOT accept dead animals or the following hazardous materials:

 

 

Convenience Centers are provided at the following locations
All Convenience Centers are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
